Bloggs on the stuff that i don't know that hopefully others do know... oh yeah, i am working on one of the mysteries of the universe too, so if you can contribute, every bit of knowledge (within reason) on the subject helps.
the mystery of the universe i hope to unravel
Published on February 15, 2005 By DrDevious In Philosophy
i don't know how long the mystery has existed for, or who thought of the two sides to the argument, because i excel in science, not history. but what i do know is that noone has ever figured it out. light, wave or particle? i know that by posting this article, i will be speaking almost only with people who are smarter than i am, but i was not here to help self esteem, i am here to get everyone's opinions and hopefully, (although unlikely) find the answer.

i will now do a summary on the comparatively insignificant amount of knowledge i have to get the ball rolling
the wave side of the argument i used to think was the only logical conclusion, because; different frequencies, reflects off lightly coloured surfaces, doesn't respond to gravity....or doesn't it?
i quote "Black holes don't let light ESCAPE" i don't know who said that, but its true... aparrently, because i have read it before. but hang on.... how could gravity pull something in which doesn't have any mass? therefore the light particle theory was born, if only as an alternative to the wave theory to keep the ball rolling.

ANYWAY! i have done enough geeking out for now, i need to let teh lazy side of my brain take over. i hope to hear from someone about this too, because my brain is running overtime to avoid all the blanks PS:sorry everyone who read my article before i corrected it, (where you see the word particle they saw the word molecule HA HA HA! HOW RIDICULOUS... i need more coffee....)

"Black holes don't let light ESCAPE" i don't know who said that, but its true... aparrently, because i have read it before. but hang on.... how could gravity pull something in which doesn't have any mass?" - Dr. Devious

Black Holes are known to be end stages of dying stars which Implode on themselves and draw in adjacent matter and antimatter, which can be computed for as to its mass.

"therefore the light as a molecule theory was born, if only as an alternative to the wave theory to keep the ball rolling." -Dr. Devious

I think what what you may mean was the wave or particle theory of light which came long before black holes were conceptualized.

I think it was , whatsisname, the one who wrote 'A brief history of time'. And what is light as a molecule? Never heard of it. It must be photons.
Light is accepted to have both wave and matter nature, like electrons, and is assumed to have a infinitesimal mass (don't laugh, I know the spelling is wrong)

i', sorry, i was sleepy when i wrote this, i meant the particle theory of light. i am kicking myself for that now

HA HAH A! I AM juat laughing at the thought of the idea of a light molecule. he hahah! sorry for the confusion everyone!

"light, wave or particle?"

It's light and wave, isn't it? Assuming you're asking what's the fundamental nature of matter? When you get 'deep down', it's the same energy vibrating at different wavelengths. And whether it's a particle or a wave depends on which way you look at it. (Our quantum physicists have confirmed that).

The answer is all three.

Hey, I’m drunk at this minute so you’ll have to excuse my ramblings.

Did you know there’s no such thing as fundamental ‘building blocks’ at the lowest level of existence. It’s all one, sublime Infinite pool of energy, which manifests in various forms according to different vibrational frequencies. Yet there is intelligence underlying these frequencies.

Somewhere down the line of the Infinite exists a big, ball of Consciousness. In fact Consciousness is the Ground of Being, the inner essence of all space and all life. Its informing Centre is everywhere and Its limit and circumference nowhere. Our religions call this the “Godhead”, or “the Christ, Logos”, the latter of which is more accurate because it identifies God ultimately as Personhood rather than a vast impersonal force.

Within the realm of God’s Mind alone does everything exist. It contains and fills all things, It is the real substance of all and Its every vibration and manifestation is but the expression of God’s Be-ing. Your brain-consciousness for example is a spark of the Divine, created in the image and likeness of God. You will exist for all eternity, dude friends! You cannot do anything about this, but you can forget.

It’s all good stuff. But ‘tis better to be drunk on the Holy Spirit. I’ve gotta go and retreat before I irritate you beyond belief. But hey relax, life is good. There's a Master Plan going on and none can escpae its operation. This stuff can’t stay buried much longer and I don’t care.
